Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of BoardSnap, published by BeFunnyStudio. By using the app you accept them.

What BoardSnap does

You photograph a board — a whiteboard, a blackboard, a flipchart. BoardSnap sends the photo to an AI model, which reconstructs its content as a clean, structured, editable document you can correct and export to PDF.

This is not optical character recognition. The model corrects, completes and structures what it reads. That is the feature, and it is also the limitation: see "Accuracy" below.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have your parent or guardian's consent. You must have the right to photograph and process the board you submit.

Your account

The app opens an anonymous session on first launch so you can try it without signing up. You can create a full account at any time, with an email address and a password, or with Google.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. There is currently no password reset by email. If you lose your password and have no Google sign-in on the account, you will lose access to that account and to any credits and subscription attached to it. Consider using the Google option.

You may not create an account for anyone else, share it, or use it to circumvent the free credit allowance.

Credits and subscriptions

One credit = one photo analysed, or one study document generated.

• Free: 10 credits on installing the app, no account required. After that, 3 credits per week, which require an account.
• Paid plans: Basic — 100 credits — €5.99 / month. Monthly — 250 credits — €10.90 / month. Pro — 600 credits — €18.90 / month. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by country and tax.

Unused credits do not carry over. Each period grants one allowance; whatever is left when the period ends is not added to the next one.

Billing is handled by Google Play, not by us. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. We never see your payment details.

To cancel, use Google Play — Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → BoardSnap. Cancelling stops the renewal; your subscription remains active, with its credits, until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting your BoardSnap account does not cancel your subscription and does not stop the billing.

Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy and by your statutory rights.

Accuracy — please read this one

BoardSnap uses a generative AI model. It can misread handwriting, invent plausible content that was not on the board, omit content that was, and misinterpret diagrams and formulas.

Check the generated document against the board before relying on it, especially for anything consequential: figures, dates, names, formulas, medical or legal content, meeting decisions. The document is a draft you are expected to correct — the app is built around editing it.

We provide no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose of the generated content.

Your content

Your photos and your generated documents are yours. They stay on your device; we neither store nor claim any right over them. To analyse a photo, your device sends it directly to our AI provider — see the Privacy Policy.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that you are not entitled to have processed by a third-party AI provider.

Acceptable use

You may not: reverse engineer the app, extract or reuse the AI key issued to your device, automate requests, resell access, or use the service to generate unlawful, harassing or infringing material.

We may suspend an account that does any of these.

Availability

The service depends on third parties — Google Play, our authentication host and our AI provider. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature you have paid for, your subscription will continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, and will not renew.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on generated content. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.

Ending the agreement

You may delete your account at any time, from the app or from the Delete Account page. We may terminate an account that breaches these terms. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of the current period, and does not cancel your Google Play subscription.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates.
