Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
By using DocSafe, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
What DocSafe is
DocSafe is a free, ad-supported app that helps you protect the documents you have to send out: add a watermark over a scan or a photo of a document and resize it, directly on your device.
A watermark is a deterrent, not a guarantee
DocSafe is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. A watermark discourages misuse of a document — it does not prevent it: it can be cropped out, edited away or simply ignored, and it gives you no legal protection by itself. You remain responsible for deciding what you send, to whom, and through which channel. Before sharing any identity or official document, check that the recipient is legitimate and that you are allowed to share it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for fraud, identity theft or any other misuse of a document you have shared.
Editing your files
Watermarking and resizing produce a new image, and resizing reduces quality — always keep your original file. We cannot recover a document you have overwritten or deleted.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the app, attempt to break or reverse-engineer it, or use it unlawfully.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
