What IPTC Tagger is

IPTC Tagger is a free, ad-supported utility that writes IPTC metadata (captions, keywords, credits and more) into your photos in batch, directly on your device.

No guarantee — please back up first

IPTC Tagger is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Batch tagging writes metadata directly into your image files, and the app cannot undo a batch once it has run. Always keep a backup of your original photos before processing them. Although we test carefully, a write can fail or alter a file unexpectedly — for example if storage access is interrupted, or with unusual, malformed or non-standard files. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damaged files, lost metadata or any resulting loss.

Metadata compatibility

Different apps, platforms and services read, display and preserve IPTC fields differently. We cannot guarantee that every field written by IPTC Tagger will be shown or kept intact by third-party software.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the app, attempt to break or reverse-engineer it, or use it unlawfully.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
