Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
By using Signet, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
What Signet is
Signet is a free, ad-supported app for associations and non-profits that keeps track of the time their volunteers give: log a session, attach it to a person and an activity, and see the running totals — all stored on your device.
A working record, not an official register
Signet is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It stores and adds up the hours you enter — it does not know your association's statutes, the rules on volunteering where you are, or what your funders, your insurer or your administration accept as proof. The totals it produces are your own working records: they are not a certified register, a payslip, an expense claim or a legally valid attestation of volunteer work, and nothing in the app is legal, accounting or tax advice. If your figures have to be reported to a public body or a funder, check the required format with them and keep your own supporting documents. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for incorrect entries, missing hours or any resulting loss.
Other people's details are your responsibility
If you record the names, contact details or hours of other people in Signet, that information is yours to look after: you are responsible for telling them, for having a valid reason to keep it, and for complying with the data-protection rules that apply to your association. Signet keeps everything on your device — we never receive it and we cannot read it, which also means we cannot recover it. Back up or export anything you would not want to lose, because uninstalling the app, clearing its data or losing the device deletes it permanently.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the app, attempt to break or reverse-engineer it, or use it unlawfully.
