What SwipeCompress is

SwipeCompress is a free, ad-supported utility that lets you review the photos on your device and compress them with a swipe, so they take up less space — all processed on your device.

Compression is lossy — back up first

SwipeCompress is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Compression permanently reduces image quality, and depending on the options you choose a compressed photo may replace the original file. That change cannot be undone from within the app: always keep a backup of anything you care about before compressing, and don't compress photos you may need at full quality later — originals, proofs, or images you intend to print. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for degraded, replaced or lost photos or any resulting loss.

File size results

The space you save depends on each image — its resolution, its content and how it was already encoded. Some photos shrink a lot, others barely at all. Any size shown before or after compression is an indication, not a promise.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the app, attempt to break or reverse-engineer it, or use it unlawfully.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
